Drowning out their own thoughts with the noise of factory machines, not giving their hands a rest in endlessly repeating mechanical movements, disappointed and depressed, people will reject scientific progress and the dogmas of ideologies. And they will reach for what is beyond, for what was long forgotten — and the great flow will rush out, and the witches will be reborn. And what was locked in the chest will begin to seek oblation.
