I built this place out of desperation. It felt like everything was happening at once, like too much was being asked of me and I couldn’t keep up. I couldn’t breathe. So I chose distance. A place where nothing else existed except me and a barren landscape. It worked… at first. The longer I stay, the more I notice what distance actually feels like. It’s different than I expected. It makes me wonder if distance isn’t what I needed after all. Maybe it was something else entirely. Still, it’s quiet out here. Quieter than I expected…
