Kostas Karantzounis
This is a rundown of how I built the instrument for those interested in constructing something similar.
The box is 24″ long, 11″ wide, 6” tall. It has 2 piezo mics with volume control.
The springs act as both an instrument and spring reverb. 4 springs. 5 string guitar with dulcimer tuners.. 4 rulers. 3 kalimbas. Snare. Music box. Doorstop. Popsickle sticks. Metal tines.
I spent about $150 on the project. But I already owned a few of the instruments on the box, so that saved a little money.
Overall, it’s a fairly inexpensive instrument to build.
