‘Faces Of Stone’ is written by David Gilmour and taken from his No. 1 album ‘Rattle That Lock’. The song is a reflection on mortality and the cycle of life, while the video, directed by Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis, combines footage of David filmed at his Medina studio with archive footage featuring the Ukrainian born and celebrated surrealist filmmaker Maya Deren (1917-1961).
